2012 - New Attraction / Raptor - Rumor - (7/29/11) It seems the big announcement for Canada’s Wonderland will take place on the morning of August 17th, as a new teaser site has been discovered hiding in the park’s website layout here. It simply shows off a cloudy nasty view of the sky, and a countdown clock for the “2012 Announcement” and a quote from Gary Slade saying that if he only rode one ride in 2012, “this is the one!” So it certainly sounds impressive… lets hope the announcement does not disappoint. Back on the rumor front… a reader did a bit of hacking into the website code and has pulled together some evidence to suggest that the new coaster may be named Raptor.

Il layout non sembra male.



Sono curioso di vedere i treni. Così non mi convincono molto!



Visto così non si riesce a dire molto. E' da provare!

Il layout sembra interessante, sebbene un po' monotono...
Se la misteriosa novità 2012 di Mira fosse simile a questa, magari con un layout arricchito da altri elementi e, naturalmente, un'altezza maggiore, non sarebbe male...

Madò... veramente... Alla intamin non si può veramente dire più nulla... 1350 persone all'ora sono tanta roba...
Io devo capire se sono a Lap bar o meno... se sono a Lap bar game over per tutti...

In ogni caso, la intamin fa comunque 1UP

PS: Loooooreeee, ma gia che ci siamo... se 'sto Sky Rush apre all'inizio della stagione, non ce la facciamo una capatina ad Hersey?
Io volevo andare anche solo per Storm runner e Farenheith ma mi pareva brutto... ora che ho anche questa scusante provo... Di parchi così Intaminofili ce se sono pochi!

Farenheit non ha avuto molto successo, speriamo che Skyrush funzione meglio, ma già il fattore portata oraria non è cosa da poco. Il percorso in effetti visto così sembra monotono e noioso, ma sarò fiducioso.

I sedili in sit down spero siano rialzati come negli hyper B&M, in modo da non toccare con i piedi, altrimenti è un bel pacco.
I sedili esterni invece li avrei preferiti sulla stessa linea degli altri...e non così indietro.
Ma non potevano metterci un treno wing e via?!

Comunque lap bar + floorless ....sconvolgente

2012 - Giga Coaster - Rumor - (8/11/11) It has been awhile since any new rumors have leaked out from the Knott’s camp, as they have been very busy trying to play catch-up with Windseeker all summer, but once again the rumor of a large hyper/mega/giga coaster project in the works for the park’s next big attraction has been reaffirmed.
(6/27/11) This rumor is a bit out there… so please take it all with a big chunk of salt in case it’s entirely bogus, but I’ve been sent a short list of very impressive stats for what Knott’s next coaster project MIGHT BE. As I said… this is all very out there right now, and if these stats are even close to being true for a possible 2012 project, Knott’s is going to have to start work on this project very soon.
Now, you might be asking yourselves, if the rumor is so wild, why do I post it at all? Simply because the stats match up with what I’ve been hearing about for the past year… that Knott’s was in the process of designing their version of version of Intimidator. This is said to be an Intamin Giga-coaster of the highest degree, with a custom layout inspired by both Intimidator 305 and Millennium Force. In short, Knott’s could be on the verge of building what many might consider to be the best roller coaster in the world.
While I don’t know anything really solid about the layout, it very well could travel throughout quite a bit of the park. Many might recall all those crazy survey markings that appeared throughout about half of the park about a year ago. The overall length of the ride is rumored to be just shy of 6000 feet, putting it just slightly behind Disney’s California Screamin’ coaster in overall length. As for the height… we’re talking about a coaster that could stand just shy of 340 feet with an amazing 85º first drop back down to Earth. As long as the actual height of the first drop was at least 328 feet, I believe the top speed of this coaster would hit at least 100 mph. That would make this ride the tallest and fastest NON-LAUNCHED coaster in the entire world. One for the record books for sure… now if only our crystal ball is clear on this one. Wait and see… wait and see…

Un coaster a metà tra I305 e MF significa lift, drop e curve alla I305 e camelback alla MF ( o almeno con più airtime xD ). Spero che questa voce sia falsa o che abbiano sbagliato parco u.u
